About Taj Adhav, Founder (who was once lost), and Moderator of Very Big Ventures
After being told to become a CPA early in life, Taj had different plans. Starting as a Big Four CPA, Taj managed $2 billion in real estate and new business launches over a decade at Disney Development Company and as an Imagineer launching Disney Cruise Line and Disney Vacation Club. But he realized he wasn’t fulfilled.
Leaving Disney after being an expat in Italy, he transitioned into technology, becoming an early hire at a software company, eventually leading Business Development in the US and EU. It was a team effort, and Channel Intelligence was launched as a SaaS data platform which later sold to Google for $125 million. But he didn't make life-changing money.
The greatest lesson he learned was that very big ventures are created by the choices you make in life. Despite at times feeling lost, he always knew true fulfillment is found helping the people you meet along the way.
As this once curious kid, he always asked questions, and after a meeting at a diner over a cup of coffee, he recognized the opportunity to transform the market. A series of fortunate events led him to become the Founder of an award-winning lease and location management software company called Leasecake, that helps thousands of companies reduce real estate risk in their business. Now, many friends, partners and customers have joined the cause to share their stories of successes and failures – because it takes BOTH to create Very Big Ventures.
